Wish for the Holidays 2012
Thousands of children agree: our families have the right to be together.
Welcome to A Wish for the Holidays, a campaign to keep families and communities together. Every day, families across the country are separated by deportations and immigrant detentions. 5.5 million children live with the fear that a parent could be deported, and these policies threaten the fabric of all of our communities. It just isn’t right.
Children know that families belong together, and A Wish for the Holidays is their chance to speak out. We have collected thousands of children’s letters expressing one, shared wish: stop deportations so that all of our families can stay together. On December 12th, a youth delegation delivered the letters to members of Congress, just in time for the holidays.
View our gallery to see the letters that were sent in from around the country, and for documentation of our letter delivery delegation. You can also take action to make sure that Congress listens to the voices of the children.
Thank you for helping to make this powerful wish!
